Versatile Printing
One UV printer, one UV ink, one RIP software. The combination has been designed around your needs to work as a single system seamlessly. With an LEF2-200 UV printer you can:
Print colourful images on demand, to personalise or customise small or medium-sized items, from a single object up to a short-run production run.

Easy to Use
The Roland LEF2-200 UV printer is built with ease-of-use in mind, so that you can focus on maximising your productivity with a series of powerful built-in features:
A Start Timer function completes the setup procedures of printhead cleaning and white ink circulation automatically by a designated time. So that you could, for example, start the printer before you arrive in the office and get printing immediately after loading the materials.
An automatic media height system for detecting the thickness of the substrate. Just load the item on the printing table, and the LEF2-200 will check it automatically and prepare to print.
Bundled Roland VersaWorks 6 RIP software, developed to make your printing operation quick and easy.
Recall specific media settings for your most popular applications without losing time by inputting them each time.
A special positioning jig is provided to align items easily on the printing table.
A built-in LED alignment system to set the origin point of your print quickly.
A built-in Ethernet connection, allowing you to connect your LEF2-200 to your existing network and print from anywhere.
New Concept Design
Whatever your primary business, LEF2-200 has been designed to match every working environment. Clean lines, stylish design, ergonomic control panel, easy access to the printing area and ink slots, sealed cartridges – they all add up to a great machine. When working, LEF2-200 is very quiet and can be used unobtrusively in spaces such as design bureau, production rooms and retail stores.
Print Gloss and 3D Embossed Finishes
In addition to full-colour printing, with LEF2-200 you can produce premium UV quality gloss and matt finishes as well as amazingly lifelike textures including simulated 3D embossing with multiple layers of UV clear ink. Seventy-two ready-to-use texture patterns are included to use immediately after installation, or you can create your own personalised special effects.
Print many – or just one with UV technology
With VersaUV LEF2-200, you can print as few as one item at one time, on demand.
It gives you the versatility to create prototypes, check the finish of a printed image, produce a special one-of-a-kind gift, or print a small volume of items in-house.
On-Board Primer
Previously, when you wanted to print on a material to which ink doesn’t easily adhere, it was necessary to apply a primer coat manually. The LEF2-200 features an optional on-board primer* cartridge for priming objects quickly and conveniently on a variety of different substrates. Users can easily prepare an object for customisation by first printing primer ink directly from a file in the VersaWorks 6 RIP software before printing the full-colour graphic. It makes adding graphics to challenging materials like acrylic much cleaner and more efficient.
Ink adhesion results may vary depending on the substrate and printing conditions. For best results, test print before final production.
Perfect results with ECO-UV ink options
LEF2-200 is equipped with ECO-UV ink offered in CMYK, white and gloss. It instantly dries and produces wide colour gamut results with sharp details and vibrant colour density. ECO-UV requires no degassing and stretches around curves and irregular surfaces without cracking.
ECO-UV inks are incredibly durable, giving indoor graphics resistance against scratches and chemicals, while outdoor graphics last up to six months and upward of two years when a gloss ink layer is applied as a finish. ECO-UV ink is supplied in mess-free 220ml cartridges that are safe after curing.
Ink Efficiency and Consistency
The LEF2-200 UV Printer has an Automated Ink Circulation System that significantly lowers running costs while maintaining sharp image quality and brilliant colours, even on longer print runs. Controlled ink circulation ensures that ink pigments can’t settle in the ink lines, resulting in smooth ink consistency and density.
Powerful VersaWorks 6 RIP Software Included
The VersaUV LEF2-200 includes the latest VersaWorks 6 RIP software, featuring an intuitive interface for smooth operation and job management and 64-bit native support and dual-core operation for processing PDF, EPS, PS and PDF 2.0 files with precision and high speeds.
With VersaWorks 6, you can automatically generate white, clear (gloss) and primer ink layers directly in the RIP software with a Special Color Layer Generation feature.
The Color-Matching function ensures consistent colour between multiple same-model printers. If you have more than one LEF2-200 UV Printers, you can produce reliable, high-volume work.*
Furthermore, VersaWorks 6 allows you to add several print files (e.g. white, CMYK and clear layers) into one job group to print them continuously.
Should a print head clog, a new Nozzle Mask function allows you to continue printing while using half of the print head.
If you work with a challenging material that needs extra curing, you can perform additional UV curing using VersaWorks 6 directly on the specific area that has been printed.
Variable data printing is also available, making it easy to produce printed objects with serialised numbers and names.

High Reliability and Safety
The LEF2-200 adopts a new cleaning system. A Head Refresh feature removes any ink remaining on the printheads and cleans the printhead surface to maintain the health of your printer. Should a print head clog, a new Nozzle Mask function allows you to continue printing while using half of the printhead. The airtight cover protects operators from UV light and prevents dust from settling onto the surface of materials while printing.
An optional air filter system is available for the LEF2-200. It can be placed easily underneath the machine and includes an activated carbon filter which effectively removes the odour and volatile substances that occur during printing.
Energy efficient, ozone free and mist filters
The LEF2-200 UV printer simply plugs-in to a standard electrical outlet. Using a fraction of the power that other flatbed printers demand, an LEF offers significant savings on electrical costs per year.
The LEF2-200 uses LED lamps for UV-curing that last up to ten times longer than conventional UV lamps and can be instantly switched on or off, giving the user a true on-demand production without the typical warm-up time. In addition, the LEF2 automatically enters a low-power mode when it is not used for an extended period.
To ensure optimum print quality around the curvatures of objects, LEF2-200 incorporates a mist filter, catching the residual ink that mists when printing off the edge or curve of a product. It cuts down on overspray and keeps the ink from settling on the printer’s internal components. Filters are designed to be easily replaceable by the end user.
Roland Intelligent Pass Control
This patent-pending system precisely controls dot placement between passes, allowing the LEF2-200 UV Printer to produce smooth gradations and exceptional solid colours, while achieving faster throughput and optimal image quality in all print modes, including at higher speeds.
